Bad attitudes
Horrible please do not send your family to this facility. It’s very nasty in there. They do not shower or take care of your family. They go hours without being cleaned up and the CNA’s and nurses walk by the rooms with the call lights on without doing anything. The nurses barely do any wound care. You can smell the other residents infections through the whole room. It’s honestly sad please get your family out of there asap! The housekeeper barely cleans and she walks around with an attitude all day. I hear cnas talking about the residents and their family all the time. The administration doesn’t do anything about reports. Honestly they need to close down
My uncle came to this facility for therapy and rehabilitation, not to be coerced into taking medication. He has firm personal beliefs against pain medication and clearly declined it with the nurse, who was professional, respectful, and fully honored his right to refuse. He specifically praised the nurse for advocating for him and explaining his choices. The situation became disturbing due to the therapist, Mary. Despite being told no, she repeatedly pressured my uncle to take pain medication while alone with him in his room. After he refused, she reported to the nurse that he was requesting the medication, which was not true. This caused the nurse to return to the room confused and concerned only because she was told by Mary that my uncle was asking. The nurse again clarified that he had every right to refuse. These medications were not even scheduled. Mary’s actions were deeply inappropriate and alarming. My uncle was terrified, upset, and felt trapped, unsure how to stand up for himself in that moment. As a family member, I was shocked and confused because therapists do not have medical degrees and should never interfere with a patient’s medication decisions. This crossed serious professional and ethical boundaries and destroyed our trust. The nursing staff showed integrity and strong patient advocacy, but Mary’s conduct was unacceptable. No patient should ever feel intimidated or coerced into taking medication. Think twice before sending your family here!!!!

I would not recommend this facility under any circumstances! The place is dirty and outdated. They don’t change or turn the patients often enough, therefore my sister developed a bed sore. Could not get an update on the sore other than “looking better “ Why is it not healing after a month? She had a UTI but continuing to have pain, could not seem to get it cleared up. We requested an air mattress but never received it. Calls for help takes too long or they come and say that they will be right back but 30 or 45 minutes later they might come back. Have to call again! She was supposed to be getting Rehab but most of the time she would just walk across the room because her oxygen tube was very short. The oxygen tank on the wheelchair needed to be changed so she could push herself around (She is on oxygen all the time) We do her laundry and she has two sets of clothes missing. Her room mate had her shoes on one day. Would not recommend!!!!

The staff is friendly and attentive to patients needs. The therapists are willing and able to answers any questions or concerns about my brother’s progress, and take the time to show you how to assist him when it is time to take him home. Would recommend West Village to friends and family.

West Village Post Acute is truly headed in a great direction. The staff here are absolutely amazing—kind, professional, and clearly dedicated to making residents feel cared for and supported. Every interaction I’ve had with team members has been warm and genuine. You can also tell that big improvements are happening. The facility is being beautifully remodeled, and there’s a clear focus on creating a more vibrant, engaging environment. More events, more activities, and a real sense of community are taking shape. The leadership team is working hard to make this a top-tier facility, and their passion shows. West Village is becoming a place where residents can thrive—not just receive care. Highly recommend checking it out and seeing the progress for yours.

This place treated my papa so very badly. He ended up the day of in the words of my papa himself “the floors are uneven as all get out, holes in walls, doors, windows, it was absoulte hell, they don’t care about people, they keep pills down you to keep you incompastitated, and very small rooms if u love your parent or family members DO NOT put them here.” They wouldn’t give him water when it was needed, it was nasty, they wouldn’t give him the things he could or would eat being diabetic, laid their most of the day because they kept them drugged, rude, wouldn’t help him get to the bathroom and more. He had fallen and his muscles were so weak he needed help to get around and they wouldn’t help him. He left at 3:00pm and by 10:00pm he was rushed to greenville memorial with sepsis of the lungs, phemonia, and covid. If you love your family I repet DO NOT put them here.

The majority of the staff is great, although there seems to be a lot of turnover. The facility is old & needs some repairs / maintenance. The 4 plug outlet by my brother’s bed is starting to come out of the wall.
